Over the next few weeks in APHG, we will move forward with our unit on population and demographics (Chapter 2). We will begin with population. More specifically, we will examine the following questions:
Where is everyone located?
Why has population increased?
Why is population increasing in different places at different rates?
What are the implications of overpopulation?
Please note the assignment schedule:
Tuesday 9/2 - Test corrections due at the beginning of class (Test on the nature and perspectives of geography).
Monday 9/8 - 2.1 (reading and Cornell notes) due at the beginning of class.
Wednesday 9/10 - Current event assignment due at the beginning of class (see attached document). For this week's assignment, please choose current events that center on population issues.
Thursday 9/11 - 2.2 (reading and Cornell notes) due at the beginning of class.
