Welcome back! I hope you had a wonderful spring break and are ready to begin the final stretch of the fourth quarter. In World History this week, we will begin a new unit on the Industrial Revolution of the eighteenth century. In this unit of study, we will examine how the growth of industrialization marked a shift to powered, special-purpose machinery, factories and mass production. We will also examine how the iron and textile industries, along with the development of the steam engine, played central roles in the Industrial Revolution, which also saw improved systems of transportation, communication and banking.
