Over the next few weeks in U.S. History, we will begin to discuss the events, ideologies, and individuals that lead the British colonies of North America to breakaway from the British empire. We will examine how great thinkers such as John Locke, Thomas Paine, and Benjamin Franklin (among others) influenced the beliefs and actions of individuals within the colonies.
We will also look at the repercussions of the French and Indian War and the British imposed "Navigation Acts, " "Molasses Act," and Currency Act."

Tuesday 9/9 - Read the Washington Post's "The good (and maybe bad) of the Declining U.S. Trade Deficit." Write one paragraph summarizing the article, and a second paragraph discussing your opinion on the issue.
